Night Fever is kicking off at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick from 23rd – 24th September for a 2 day endurance race that will light up the track! The Rumble Racing Team have contributed many hours to test and tweek the race car since the last race and are hoping for a disco performance. After a slight setback during last weeks practice run, and a few modifications to adhere to the maximum noise decibels, the team are confident to hit the track to endure the 20 hours of racing ahead.
Saturday will see the team gear up, pump up the disco tunes and light up the track for 12 hours of racing from 10am to 10pm. Then to finish off the disco vibe, Sunday’s race will light up at 8am and speed through to 6pm.
The Captain Morgan’s Revenge earlier this year, saw the Rumble Racing team make the podium for the fundraising award, supporting Rare Cancers Australia, and the team is focused on making this target the standard for every race. The team is currently ranked 5th overall on the team donations leader board, raising a staggering $4,460 to date.
When asked what makes the motor events racing so unique, team member and major sponsor Brent Gooch said, ” The main focus of these events is to raise money to support Rare Cancers Australia, to help improve the quality of life for patients living with a rare cancer. The outcome of the race is irrelevant, we come together to have fun with our team mates and try to raise as much money as we can for every race”.
